Archery/Bowhunting Coaching & Club in Colorado

A perfect bow for one hunter was not necessarily perfect for another. We’re all different. Individual draw length, bow length, draw weight, and individual shooting style and individual preference play a part in what we each desire/prefer. A generic bow to fit “the average” shooter will likely please no one exactly. So, what is the answer? It is what is has always been; the answer to becoming an excellent hunter and archer lies in technique more than what bow you use.

That’s where we come in. We offer coaching for all levels as well as club activities for dedicated bowhunters and archers as well as for beginners. If you’re looking to improve yourself physically and mentally, there’s no better activity than archery, and if you want to learn how to do it well (and you live somewhere near Colorado) – we’d be more than happy to help you out.

Keep in mind, we’re primarily hunters rather than target shooters, and while we can coach olympic style target shooting (especially to young people), it’s not our main focus or passion. There are better target shooting coaches out there, but we’re confident we’re amongst the best when it comes to coaching old school archery in a hunting setting.

Our club activities are also a lot of fun – we hold things like tournaments, barbecues, camping trips, and the like. Everything we do is fully family friendly (as long as you don’t mind your children being involved with hunting), and we’re happy to coach entire families as well.

Bring your airguns as well because we have a spinning know your limits target shooting event for the kids
sponsored by shooting targets 7 that they really enjoy.

We’re committed to building the best and making you the best bow shooter you can possibly be.

Here are some excellent archery resources for you to browse:

Here’s a great article in Field And Stream Magazine with a bunch of excellent pointers.

Tradgang is a fantastic forum for beginners and seasoned archers alike. They focus on traditional bows (recurve/longbow), which is the way we like to go about hunting also, so we definitely recommend the TradGang forums as a resource.

If you’re looking to buy a bow, check out Take a Bow and Arrow. They have some of the most honest reviews on the web, and their bow recommendations for beginners are spot on. Since we focus on traditional bowhunting, we recommend beginners looking to buy a bow to check out the best recurve bow guide on that site.

Here’s a youtube video that we think gives some excellent basic pointers for beginners.
